Anu's Summer Camp ..............
Anu's playschool teacher arranged a six days summer camp in vacation.The theme of camp was Birthday Party of Doll , so the things required for Party was Birthday Caps , Greetings , Masks & Gift Items. These all things were made by Anu & her friends as Craft Activity , all kids were excited.
Green Day
They also celebrated one of the day as Green Day where all wore green dresses , collected different types of green fruits, vegetables & plants .There teacher explained importance of greenery in environment.This create awareness of importance about our Mother Nature at very early age, I was so delighted for such awareness.
Birthday Party
All kids helped in decoration for Birthday Party.
Anu enjoyed this small party & had blast with kids & teacher.

Anushree's Progress Towards Listening !!!!!

From last many months i was little nervous about Anu's Progress. Before few months ago Anu used to get angry & shows tantrums during therapy sessions, in playschool & also at home. it was a difficult task for me & her therapist to calm her down every time.Then her therapist & i thought that there was something wrong in her mapping, she might be listening loud sound which made her angry, so her audiologist changed her map. After that map she calm down & started to pay attention to Therapy sessions. At same period we took advice from Pediatrician about her Tantrums & Attention Span. She prescribed some medicines & also some points to tackle her behaviour. After three months of map, Anu has remarkable change in Listening & vocalization.She now understands commands , repeats some Ling Sounds .This was big sigh of relief for us.

Since activaton, there is massive change in Anu's behaviour. Before implant she does not spontaneously involve in activity. After actvation, she started to look around & search for source of sound.At first, when any sound occured she widen her eyes & stunned for moment, then she look around for sound.
I put her in Playschool.In school her auditory awareness has been increased, she now picks all sounds occurs around her.There she started interacting with other kids by observing & playing with them. At first she just watch what other kids do. Slowly she started to get involve with them. Now she enjoys doing Ring -a - Roses & other songs in school.

The Big Day

After Surgery Anushree was doing fine.Her activation was done on 18th April '08. We all were nervous & praying that everything should go well. We just made Anu comfortable for procedure & for our surprise she cooperated nicely. When Anu heard sound and gave response tears came to my eyes , that was happiest moment of my life. She was given Initial Map. She excepted CI quickly which was a big sigh of relief. After activation she looked at us whenever she heard any sound.
